Beachtown Childcare is a childminding service situated close to the seafront in Littlehampton.
We provide a warm, welcoming, safe and secure surroundings where your child is gently nurtured to learn and develop in a stimulating environment.
We follow the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and work within the guidelines set by NCMA Children Come First Quality Standards and NCMA Early Education Standards. We are also registered members of the West Sussex Childminders Network. Digital copies of both our ‘outstanding’ Ofsted reports are available upon request.
We work within the birth to three framework and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Opening hours
Our opening hours are 7am – 6.30pm. However we also offer various sessions to fit with funded hours and parents work patterns. Times outside these hours can also be arranged to accommodate the needs of all parents to ensure that we provide a flexible and affordable childcare solution for you. Weekend childcare may be available upon request. We also provide after school care sessions, as well as offering term time only contracts.
- 8am-6pm –full day from £4.50
- 9-3pm- short day from £4.75
- 8-1pm- morning session. From £5.00
- 3pm-6.30pm after school. From £5.50
Free and/or assisted childcare
Beachtown Childcare is able to offer all 3&4yr old up to 15 hours free nursery education and childcare weekly and for those eligible we can extend that up to 30 hours weekly. We can also offer upto 15 hours free education and childcare to eligible 2yr olds.
We are registered with various voucher schemes which help towards your childcare costs. Please call us for more information.
Late Payment Charges
Fees are paid in advance either weekly or monthly with the payment being made on the first day of the week or month. A fee of £25 will be charged for a late payment which is more than 5 days late with a further charge of £5 per day after 7 working days.
Always Something To Do
In a normal childminding day your child will have the opportunity to take part in a number of activities including:
painting – gloop – water – sand – crazy foam – play dough – gluing and sticking
cooking – music time – stories and rhyme – puzzles – games – dressing up – outside play
outings to the local park… and of course the beach, where your child will enjoy Beach school using our beach hut as a base.
Our day has routine which although printed, is not written in stone! Children need routines and schedules to feel secure, calm and at ease, it enables children to learn how to manage their time and to feel more confident because they know “what happens next”.
As Beachtown Childcare is a relatively small setting we have the opportunity to work with you when determining what your child does when with us. Each child’s individual routines are taken into account when deciding what to do day to day. We work with you and closely follow any pattern that is important to you and your child such as nap times. We plan activities according to the individual children’s interests and link them to EYFS. We have a variety of topic and interest tables throughout the setting to further ignite your childs imagination and natural curiosity about the world around them.
